It already has had an impact in relations. This trade war is not only about the U.S. It has to do with both sides, which will imminently suffer. Whether truce or no truce, China needs U.S. the and visa versa; therefore, for Trump to cause this war, we have already seen massive impact to forward direct investments into the U.S. and other transactions halted with a "wait and see" approach. Unfortunately, with Brexit and the U.S. vs/ China, world macroeconomics and policies are gloomy. We have no idea whether Trump will cause another eruption, as he has been doing in the markets. We continue to feel the negative waves of these uncalculated decisions and without merit.

What impact could the trade tariff truce between the U.S. and China have for U.S. business owners?
Given that the U.S. and China governments put the trade war on hold for 90 days, what impact could this have on U.S. companies? Anything they can do to maximize the current situation?

The truce is a good step to calm down the tensions, but I don’t see many meaningful changes here in the absence of a more enduring trade agreement that both sides can, hopefully, reach. I think most will remain cautious until they see meaningful progress toward real and enduring solutions, not just a truce. We can only hope that our governments engage in the process fairly and honestly to reach an equitable and fair agreement.
