First, the Japan-based IT company needs to file an application for a Certificate of Eligibility (CoE) at a regional immigration bureau in Japan. The CoE would be issued after 2 to 4 months of screening. Then you can apply for a visa at Japanese consulate office in the U.S. with the CoE. The visa will be issued in about 5 business days.
