The prerequisite is that a domestic qualified vocational training or a foreign vocational training equivalent to a domestic training is available. For academic professionals, the equivalence of the foreign university and the foreign university degree must be proven. In contrast to job-seeking academics, skilled workers with vocational training must already have German language skills that correspond to the intended job. As a rule, German language skills are required at least at level B1. In medical professions in particular, however, higher requirements may also apply. In the case of academic specialists, for whom language skills are not actually required, language skills that are not available may well play a role in the plausibility check within the scope of the discretionary exercise of the job. A further prerequisite is proof of the securing of a livelihood. The visa is issued for 6 months.
