When can I apply for Cypriot citizenship as a resident permit holder?

I understand that the CBI program has been suspended by the Cypriot government, but I assume the residency program is still available, correct? I am considering the real estate investment option. After I get a residency permit through this program, when will I become eligible to apply for citizenship?

The residency program is still available and in order to be able to obtain citizenship. You will need to stay in the country for 183 for seven years; for the eighth year, you will have to remain in Cyprus for 365 days. The fast track residency program offers only the option of real estate - 300,000 euros plus VAT and a deposit of 30,000 euros. For each dependant, you will need another 5,000 euros in a local bank account.

The residency by investment program is still valid and you can proceed with an application once all the requirements are met. Provided that you complete the necessary years of staying in Cyprus, you will be eligible to apply for a Cypriot passport under the naturalization by years of staying rules.

That is correct. If you reside in Cyprus for seven years, you will be qualified to apply for citizenship by naturalization.

Yes, the residency program via investment is still available. You can become eligible for citizenship under residency once you have completed seven years of continuance legal residency in Cyprus. Also, note that under this program, you are not allowed to work in Cyprus.
