I submitted my application for the investor visa category last December. I know that the immigration authorities in Italy are closed due to the virus outbreak. I would like to know when I can expect my application to be processed and get a result.
The law provides that your application should be processed within 30 days and that the Ministry has the discretion to request documents and information, in such a case an additional 30 days processing time is provided for. Due to the current emergency, it is likely that all applications have been put on hold. I suggest you contact directly the Ministry at urp@mise.gov.it . You should have also received a contact email upon submitting your application.
Given the current emergency situation processing timing is quite unpredictable. For the time being, applications pending on Feb. 23, 2020, or filed later, are suspended until April 15, 2020. Further delays shall be expected given the backlog that the suspension may have created.
