When can investors expect restrictions on real estate investment to take effect for Portugal’s Golden Visa program?

Recently I have read news that the Portuguese government is considering restricting real estate investment from Golden Visa applicants to cool down the overheated local property market. Has there been any progress about this? When could such changes be effective?

To the best of our knowledge, there is no official move by the Portuguese government in this direction, and these statements are more like rumors to stir up the local market, but still without any foundation.
