There has so far been no information officially disclosed by the Government of Japan about relaxation of entry for EU vaccine passport holders. Currently, everyone from the EU needs a PCR negative certificate before boarding as well as COVID test again at the airport of entry and a 14-day isolation period, and so on. A Japanese vaccine passport will be issued late July; there is no information about whether or not one can skip any quarantine for both, re-entry of foreigners and Japanese nationals returning to their home country.

How can foreign investors with residency in Japan but vaccine passports from EU return?
I have residency in Japan but my vaccine passport is from the EU. How can I reenter Japan? I've heard Japan is issuing its own vaccine passports from July 26. Would I need a new Japanese vaccine passport?
