I’m an agriculture engineer from Yemen seeking to relocate to Canada and just heard about the new employer program in the agriculture field. Do I have to apply through an employer or can individuals like me apply if the job is in shortage?

The Canada Employer Portal helps Canadian employers manage foreign worker programs. As an applicant, follow these steps: Get a job offer from a Canadian employer who uses the portal; employer applies for LMIA if needed; receive a Job Offer Number after approval; apply for a work permit on IRCC website with Job Offer Number; complete biometrics and medical exam if required; your application will be processed - check status on IRCC site; once approved, get work permit, travel to Canada, and start work.
