Both my parents are Ukrainian citizens of Russian descent that live in Crimea, which is now ruled by Russia. I’ve lived in the Middle East to do business for the past 5 years and now contemplating a move to Europe. I am wondering if my descent would be an issue if I decide to apply for the Malta residency by investment program. I have a Ukrainian passport not a Russian one.
The applications for the Maltese permanent residence programme and citizenship on the basis on the grounds of the Granting of Citizenship for Exceptional Services Regulations are currently suspended for the holders of Russian and Belarusian citizenship (passports).
