  Language: demonstrate that you can speak French at an intermediate level (B2, Level 7). Residency: receive a 3-year work permit and within 2 years of the issuance of that work permit, meet the 12-month residency requirement – 6 months by the principal applicant and another 6 months by either the principal applicant or spouse. If you don't have French proficiency, there are paths to get your residency through establishing your branch or starting a new company. This is a much cheaper and faster solution.

  You must show your intent to reside in Quebec, but there are no movement restrictions within Canada. As a permanent resident you must remain in the country 2 out of every 5 years on a running basis (with some exceptions).

  You need an intermediate advanced level (B2) to apply for QIIP. If your file is approved by Quebec province, you will have to stay in the province of Quebec for 12 months (this time may be shared with the spouse) within the next 2 years from the selection by Quebec, then you would apply for Permanent Residence in Canada.
