I would like to inquire about Turkey citizenship by descent for my children. I used my Guinea-Bissau passport to obtain Turkey citizenship through investment in real estate. Now I want to apply for Turkey citizenship for my children, but they only have Taiwanese passports. Would it be necessary for them to use Guinea-Bissau passports to apply for Turkey citizenship?
Turkish CBI program allows the spouse and the minor (under 18 years old) children of the applicant to apply for citizenship. The different passports should not be an issue in case the birth certificates of the children show the applicant as the father (in case the children are not born out of wedlock or in case of a later divorce with custody sharing or custody left at spouse, additional documentation may be required).
