Coming from a French-speaking country does not automatically per se make it easier to apply for a long-term visa for France. However, there are bilateral agreements between France and various French-speaking countries, particularly in Africa, that derogate from common immigration law and grant facilities to obtain certain types of visas for young professionals, employees, and temporary workers for instance. Besides, foreigners coming from a francophone countries may become eligible more quickly than others for a residency card of 10 years and even to the French nationality. For highly skilled workers, businesspersons, entrepreneurs and investors, France offers a "Passeport Talent", which is very favorable.
