I understand that the Greek government has been considering adding the equity and bond investment options to its Golden Visa program for a while, and a revision to the program that involves these new options has been on hold since this summer. When could the new bill take effect?

We have asked the ministry. We have to wait a bit longer, probably in a few months before the government will launch this new program.

The legal provisions are in force from July 1, 2019, but the implementation could take place upon the issuance of the related circulars of the competent ministries. Following our communication with the authorities, this issue is in progress. The intention of the government is to activate the provisions as soon as possible.
