You can add your newborn child to your application after he/she is born. At first, you should obtain a birth certificate, then get a passport for your child. When you get both above-mentioned documents you will need to contact your agent. The frms P, PDFEE, PSC and MRQ must be submitted. Also, you need to pay insurance for your newborn.

Do I need to make an additional if I want to add a newborn baby to my Malta citizenship application?
I submitted my application for Malta’s citizenship-by-investment program two months ago. The case is still pending. Last week my wife found out that she was three months pregnant. Should we add the baby to our application at this stage, or should we wait until the baby is born? If we can add the baby now, do I need to make an additional donation to the national development and social fund since I am adding a minor dependent? Please advise.

In the event of a newborn dependent, the issue depends on the date of birth. If the date of birth is subsequent to the oath of allegiance, one would need to provide evidence of birth to the Maltese authorities. On the other hand, if the act of birth has taken place during the application, one would necessarily need to provide the necessary documentation to Identity Malta as well as make the necessary contribution in respect of said dependent. However, this is only done upon birth.

A baby is to be added once he is born. The contribution relative to him will be added to the final settlement with Identity Malta when there is the approval of the application.
