Antigua & Barbuda

Rufus Gobat is an Antigua and Barbuda licensed agent. He is the founder of Caribbean Lifestyle Services, based in Saint Paul, Antigua.

Caribbean Lifestyle Services assists with the country’s citizenship-by-investment program. It also provides business startup and relocation services, such as acquiring driver’s licenses, yacht charters, bank accounts, interpreters, property and rentals.

In addition to his role at Caribbean Lifestyle Services, Gobat is part of a Caribbean hotel development and management family that has been operating in the region for more than 40 years. From 2004 to 2007, he was marketing director for Prestigious Properties, a U.K.-based Caribbean property sales company. In 2008 he opened Cap Maison, an award-winning boutique resort hotel in St. Lucia. As marketing director, he oversaw the sellout of the development.

In 2007 as CEO, Gobat, an Antiguan national, launched Tamarind Hills in Antigua. The property accommodates applicants for Antigua’s citizenship-by-investment program. Gobat oversees the Tamarind Hills development and management, reports to its board on financial and strategic matters, works with the government for licenses, and sells the units that total $50 million.

Gobat has a bachelor’s degree in business information technology from Kingston University in the U.K.
