Can I redirect some of the funds to other investments, maybe in the stock market or startups in Malta?

You cannot obtain Malta's golden visa through property investment. You must make a not refundable contribution. There is an additional requirement of the MPRP program to rent or buy a property. It is not possible to redirect some of the funds to other investments during the first five years.
