I want to become a St. Kitts and Nevis citizen by buying the required real estate. However, I don’t want to hold on to it for the entire five-year period that’s required. Can I transfer the property to my son, who is my dependent and will also be a St. Kitts citizen? What if my property stays in my family?

I believe that this would be allowable on a case-by-case basis, depending on the reasons.

The law requires you hold the property for a minimum of five years and then you can resell and keep your citizenship, but not before.
