How can I register a company in Panama as an investor?

I want to apply for Panama residency through its residency-by-investment program. Then I want to register my company here to enjoy the beneficial tax regime of the country. What are the procedures of registering a company in Panama? Can I initiate this process right after I become a resident of the country, or do I need to wait for a certain period of time?

You may register your Panamanian company even prior to your arrival, actually one of our residency programs requires you to incorporate a company and invest at least $160,000 in it.

In Panama, to register a company, you'll need an attorney-at-law. You can initiate the process anytime, you don't need to be a Panamanian resident.

A company can be registered in Panama by any individual or company, with or without residency. The process of incorporating in Panama is simple and can take just a few days, and there is no requirement for paid-up capital.
