I currently live in the United States and work remotely from home 100% percent of the time. I recently got married to a Japanese national and we are applying for a spouse visa. The question is, would I be able to continue working remotely for my American Employer while living in Japan? If so what do I need to do?

When you have a spousal visa, you can work remotely in Japan. So we recommend you apply for a spouse of Japanese status. There is no specific work type visa i.e. remote work visa or so-called nomad visa in Japan that allows you to work remotely for an American company.
