Principal applicant, spouse, and children below 22 are included in the Start-Up Visa application.
Only the principal applicant is required to provide a language test (either in English or French), with a basic level of Canadian Language Benchmark 5 (out of 12 points). There is no language requirements for the spouse and children, therefore it does not have any impact no matter how well they
speak any of these languages.
