We are team of six Indian entrepreneurs looking to move to Canada with our families by launching our startup project there. Would you advise us to apply on a single application or should we all apply separately for the startup visa?
Answers
The Canadian start-up visa program allows up to five partners in a business to apply for the same project (each holding at least 10% voting rights). The members should apply in one application. Note that the composition of the team would need to include at least one "essential person" to the project; this is key since if the application were to be refused, the other four members would be (refused) too.
There is a maximum of five foreign investors per startup company, so you would need at least two startups with, for example, three entrepreneurs per startup.
