Would retirees need to meet a minimum annual income threshold based on their pension? Can one just show proof of sufficient savings to qualify?
Answers
Panama retiree visa option requires a minimum retirement income of $12,000 per year for the main applicant, along with $3,000 per year per dependent. This income must be from government retirement or pension, or from private annuities issued by licensed companies such as banks, insurance, trusts, mutual funds or pension management programs.
In order to qualify as a retiree or a pensioner, the applicant must provide proof of a lifetime pension equal or higher to $1000. Savings will not be enough, regardless of the amount shown.
