I’m an investor based in the UK and I want to explore the possibility of setting up a startup company in Japan. Is the entry ban still in place? When would be the best time to visit and explore this option?

Foreign investors and people who want to visit for business purposes remain subjected to the entry ban. I cannot predict when the travel ban will be lifted. Without being present in Japan, there is a way/a program for an investor that allows a certificate of eligibility, a sort of a petition for a visa to be issued and a startup company to be set up.
