There is a work visa option based on employment and a spouse or child of a Japanese or a permanent resident option available in Japan. After the omicron variant spread across the world, Japan imposed a condition that all passengers of the flight in which the omicron variant was found must isolate for 14 days; this condition comes on top of the entry ban on travelers from more than 10 countries.
