People who fled from Ukraine can get a 90-day temporary visitor visa from a Japanese embassy or consulate office. Neither a guarantor nor an invitation is required for such visa applications. They can also change their status in Japan to work for one year at least. There is also a non-profit body in Tokyo that is providing 5.08 billion yen ($41 million) in financial assistance to cover travel and living cost of about 1,000 Ukrainians.
