Do I have to keep my investments in the same company/business I initially used to get the Cyprus golden visa?

Or could I redirect the investment towards another local business without affecting my status?

You need to be the shareholder of the company or business in order to be able to obtain the residence permit. Additionally, you may be able to change investment but you are still to be the owner of the investment.

An investor can replace his/her initial investment with another of the same or greater value, which must meet the conditions set out in the present procedure. The new investment must be made immediately after the alienation of the initial investment. It is recommended that the authorities are informed of the intention of the investor beforehand.
