Investor 2 Visa for New Zealand requires that family members (partner and dependent children over 16 years of age) must also have English language ability the same as a principal applicant, which is an overall band score of 4 or more in the IELTS test OR pre-purchase ESOL tuition. Accordingly, a child who is less than 16 years of age need not meet the English language ability. The other applicants who do not meet the English language ability can pre-purchase ESOL tuition by paying an additional fees.The Investor Plus category does not have any English language condition.
The principal applicant needs to meet the English language requirements. Spouses need to meet requirements or pre-pay ESOL and young children under 16 do not need to meet the English requirements.
Only the principal applicant needs to meet the English language requirement by passing one of the acceptable language tests. Partners and children can meet the requirement by paying language tuitions.
