I purchased a house in Cyprus and got residency of the country last year. How can I apply for a work permit and get access to the job market of Cyprus? Do I need a sponsorship from an employer?

You are not allowed to work in Cyprus due to restrictions connected with the residency program. As long as you are a holder of a permanent residency, you are not able to work in Cyprus.

If the residency in Cyprus has been obtained via the fast track procedure - purchase of properties, then you can live in Cyprus but not able to work with that permit. You will need the sponsorship from a potential employer to be
able to work.
