We are considering purchasing property in Cyprus to gain residency and relocate there. If we eventually obtain Cypriot citizenship as well, will our sons (who are 11 and 14 years old now) need to serve in the military in the future? If they also keep their original passports, can they be exempt?

If your children obtain citizenship at any time in their minor life or adult life, they will need to serve in the army if they will be residing in Cyprus. The duration of the army service would depend if they will obtain it during their minor years or during their adulthood.
