I learned today that the Cypriot government will soon replace its current CBI program with a new one. How is the new program different from the current one? What could be changed? When can investors expect the details for the new program to be announced?

The CBI program is still valid and will be as of November 1. After that, the government of Cyprus will announce further information in respect of amendments to the program.

We are not aware as of yet how the new program would be but it will focus mainly on the innovation sector and technology sectors of the economy and not so much on the real estate sector.
