Would I need to do military service if I move to Cyprus? My parents were born in the UK and my grandparents were born in Cyprus but came to England when they were very young. I am 31 years old and have a son and a wife I also have my own business so I would have to work.

Only if your father is a Cypriot.

If you obtain the citizenship then, yes, you will need to do six months of military service in Cyprus unless there are medical reasons.
